Creative ready to release the new Sound Blaster Roar 2 audio system

A few months ago Creative presented the new Sound Blaster Roar 2 portable audio system but back then the device was nowhere close to its market release. Well, fortunately for music lovers, the new Sound Blaster Roar 2 audio system will be on the market by the end of the month.

The device measures 51 x 188 x 109 mm and weighs 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds). It looks like a small portable radio but actually serves as a music player and more. It features two dynamic speakers and a powerful subwoofer and offers two working modes – users can situate it horizontally and experience the best the Sound Blaster Roar 2 audio system can offer or you can also play it vertically for more direct listening experience and loader sound. There are two passive radiators as well that help reproduce a wider range of frequencies as cleanly as possible.

Apart from the speakers and the sound the Sound Blaster Roar 2 audio system offers a 6000 mAh battery that can give you up to 8 hours of continuous music playback. The device can also connect to PC and Mac computers and can be used as a USB sound card. It has NFC capabilities, 3.5 mm input, USB output to charge devices and a microSD card slot for up to 32 GB of external memory. It can also provide you with voice calls when connected to your phone thanks to a built-in microphone and speakerphone. Downloadable software allows users to change music settings too.

The new Sound Blaster Roar 2 audio system will be on the market by the end of June. The device will sell for USD 315.
