Pentax introduces Optio W90 waterproof and X90 megazoom digital cameras

PENTAX has announced the eleventh generation PENTAX Optio waterproof and X90 megazoom digital camera. The PENTAX Optio W90 offers 12.1 megapixel sensor, wide angle 5X optical zoom (28-140mm equivalent), 2.7 inch LCD, capable to record 720p HD videos,  enhanced waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and coldproof performance and features an inventive Digital Microscope mode with LED lighting, Face Detection and optional waterproof infrared remote control, priced at $329.95- ship in April 2010.

The 12.1-megapixel Pentax X90 is not waterproof but offers 26X megazoom, super-telephoto lens (26-676mm equivalent) also designed with a Macro mode that focuses to less than one inch away to capture images of subjects that are near or far and improved battery life. Also packs 2.7 inch LCD with anti-reflection coating, Eye-Fi wireless SD memory card connectivity for easy photo transfer, continuous shooting up to 11 frames per second,Triple Shake Reduction technology, all  for the price of $399.95 USD and  will ship in April 2010.
