Bowers & Wilkins prepares sleek new headphones

Perhaps many people haven’t heard of the British company Bowers & Wilkins but the company is known for making very high quality headphones. Its on-ear P5 and in-ear C5 headphones have earned high marks from various reviewers and riding high on their success Bowers & Wilkins is currently working on a new set of headphones – the P3.

This time the product will feature a lower price and less weight in addition to a number of other enhancements. The on-ear P3 model will be known, however, for its fold-up design and a hard-shell carrying case.

B&W P3 headphones

Boasting aluminum chassis and durable rubber the P3 headphones also come with custom-made and ultralight acoustic fabric on the earpads, while the pads themselves use memory foam. Bowers & Wilkins says the P3 delivers detailed and well-balanced sound.

The P3 headphones also bring a remote/microphone attachment that is fully compatible with the iPhone and another one that works with all kinds of mobile phones and MP3 players. B&W says swapping cables is easy: it “simply involves popping off the replaceable earpads.”

Coming in black or white the Bowers & Wilking P3 headphones will be available on the market in June with a suggested retail price of 199.99 USD.
