Dead Trigger 2

Well, since we started reviewing shooters, here’s one more for you. Called Dead Trigger 2, the game is obviously a sequel to Dead Trigger – an Android game, which was released a few years ago. Unlike its predecessor, which arrived as a paid game and later became free (too bad for the people who paid for it), Dead Trigger 2 is a free game right from the start. Is it worth your time, though?

That depends. The game is a classical 3D shooter. Due to the three dimensional graphics, the app weighs around 450 MB, so it requires some time to download before you can play. The visuals are more than nice, though, so you should not feel cheated here – the game is all in 3D and looks great. The same can be said about the sound, although what is there to say about gunfire? As to the gameplay, the app strongly resembles UNKILLED, which we just reviewed – you move by using your left finger, while your right finger turns the camera. You have a gun at first and to shoot, you just have to point it at an enemy and the gun will start shooting automatically. The difference here is that the ammunition is not unlimited so you should aim for the head for instant kills that save ammo. But who’s the enemy here? Zombies, of course – Dead Trigger 2 takes you to a future world infested by zombies, so you have to save the planet once again… you know how. In addition to this the game features some really powerful enemies such as Titans that are 50 feet tall and that can destroy a building with their bare hands. So you are in for some intense action and this will surely please 3D shooter fans.

Well, how should we sum Dead Trigger 2 up? The game is more than decent and it will appeal to fans of the genre. Dead Trigger 2 is full of action and presents really nice 3D graphics so if you want a casual shooter, then this one is for you. The problem with Dead Trigger 2 is that it is not much different than other similar games (UNKILLED is a prime example) so this app may suffer in the long run. All in all, Dead Trigger 2 is a game that deserves a B grade – not because it is bad, but because it does not bring anything new to the table.
