No matter how you look at it Google Play features games and apps that can easily fall in just several genres – runner games, games where you collect something, kill the bad guys, etc. Gummy Drop! may look like something different but in fact it is not – this is a game that strongly resembles Candy Crush Saga.
This is not something that should deter you from trying Gummy Drop! After all competition is always something good and in the case of Google Play it tends to bring new apps with new ideas behind and new features. In the case of Gummy Drop! the game brings a fun story where candy made of gummy pieces has become so much it threatens to bury the world. So it is your task to clean the mess – combine gummy pieces with the same color to eliminate them, earn points and collects bricks (you will see them a bit later) and go to the next level. Don’t worry, there are many of them so rest assured you will spend hours playing this game. In addition there’s a map that shows you where you are at the moment and gives you an idea how many levels there are until the end of the game. Quite naturally the levels after the first few ones become harder and harder so a bit later you will have to put your brain to work if you want to survive. Yes, survive as the game gives you three lives and every level that you fail claims a life. We don’t know what happens if you lose all three of them (we might be too good for this game) but we doubt you will start from the first level. Having lives is nothing to complain of – after all this brings a fresh new idea to the game.
Other than that Gummy Drop! does not offer anything new or revolutionary. It is simply a product that looks like and plays like the good old Candy Crush Saga game. Still, the story behind the game brings something new to the genre, a fact that is true for the game interface and the map so in a way Gummy Drop! is not the same product as Candy Crush Saga. This was enough for us to make us enjoy the game and we think you will too, given you like this type of games.
Gummy Drop! is here on Google Play.
