Microsoft offers a free Windows phone on Black Friday

As the shopping frenzy in the United States gets even frenzier, Microsoft has announced that on Black Friday, customers can get a free Windows Phone handset.

Unfortunately there is little information regarding which smartphones will be on sale but if the HTC Titan or the Samsung Focus S are available, it is very likely that they will be a major target for Black Friday shoppers. Still, the phones do not come completely free – customers will still have to get a 2-year contract but if they can save 200 USD the deal might be a good one in the long run.

The sale begins at 12:00 AM PST on Friday, November 25, and will be available at Microsoft’s online store. In case you don’t want to wait the deal will also be available at Microsoft stores so you can pick up a phone yourself.
