Phanteks announces MP and SP series of cooling fans

The maker of cooling solutions and cooling fans Phanteks has announced the arrival of the new PH-F120/140/200 SP Series and PH-F120/140 MP Series Black Edition fans. The newcomers are available in 120 mm, 140 mm and 200 mm sizes and feature all new black blades and black frames hence the Black Edition name.

The new fan lines try to solve various issues when it comes to cooling. The SP Series, for example, is specifically designed to overcome high static pressure, noise challenges and blade deflection. The fans in the line feature nine blades for improved control of the airflow, while the UBF bearing by Moss and SSC Systems creates a longer lifespan and adds stability to the fans. In addition to all this the fans in the SP line are affordable and durable so they may be widely used by hardware fans.

The MP Series fans are designed to overcome the airflow restriction that is caused by high fin density. The MP Series fans produce high static air pressure that allows for a direct and focused airflow, which makes these fans ideal for the densely packed fins of a radiator. These fans also come with new seven high-pressure MVB II blades that are precisely angled to create a silent and controlled airflow.

The SP Series fans are called PH-F120SP_BBK, PH-F140SP_BBK and PH-F200SP_BBK and are 120 mm, 140 mm and 200 mm big, respectively. The 120 mm fan spins at 1300 rpm and creates airflow of 54 CFM at 24.2 dB of noise. The 140 mm fan spins at 1200 rpm and pushes 82 CFM of air at 19 dB of noise, while the largest 200 mm model spins at 850 rpm and pushes 110 CFM at 25 dB of noise. The lifespan of these fans is rated at 100 000 hours for the 200 mm model and at 150 000 hours for the smaller fans.

The MP series includes two fans only with 120 mm (PH-F120MP_BBK) and 140 mm (PH-F140MP_BBK) diameters. The first model spins at 500-1800 rpm and pushes up to 53 CFM of air at 25 dB, while the larger 140 mm model spins at 500-1600 rpm and produces 68 CFM at just 25.3 dB of noise.

The PH-F120MP_BBK and PH-F140MP_BBK fans cost EUR 14.90 and EUR 16.90, respectively, while the PH-F120SP_BBK, PH-F140SP_BBK and PH-F200SP_BBK fans sell for EUR 11.90, EUR 14.90 and EUR 16.90, accordingly. All fans come with a 5-year warranty.
