Plextor announced the PX-PH500U3 – 500GB USB 3.0 portable hard drive

Plextor has introduced a new portable hard disk drive, equipped with the speedy USB 3.0 interface and offering 500GB storage option. The 2.5-inch PX-PH500U3 model has an elegant casing crafted from aircraft grade aluminum and weighs 162 grams.

The external hard drive doesn’t need additional power adapter and is powered directly through the USB connector, it comes bundled with FNet PC Clone EX software for data backup and restore,  and leatherette case for additional protection during transportation.  The PX-PH500U3 is backed by two year warranty and will cost you EUR 99, Plextor also has promised a 750GB version in April for EUR 135.
