Super Talent DRAMDisk offers amazing speed

Super Talent Technology, a maker of various memory devices, has announced the highly expected USB 3.0 Express DRAMDisk.

The new device looks like a regular flash drive but reaches amazing speeds – the USB 3.0 Express DRAMDisk can sequentially read at up to 4041 MB/sec, while sequential write speed reaches 5388 MB/sec. These results are achieved using special built-in software that makes use of the computer’s RAM to transfer files at ultra-high speed. The software comes standard with the USB 3.0 Express DRAMDisk.

The Super Talent USB 3.0 Express DRAMDisk will now make running huge programs off the USB drive a reality. The same goes for copying large projects, HD movies and others.

The pricing of the USB 3.0 Express DRAMDisk is unknown but it is unlikely to be low.
