Walking Dead: Road To Survival

Walking Dead: Road To Survival

Walking Dead: Road To Survival is one of the few games that are based on graphic novels. As the name of the app suggests you will be fighting zombies in an attempt to make it and survive but the game offers much more than initially expected.

This free Android game looks like a 3D shooter initially but a bit later you will get to know the truth – in fact the game is an RPG where you must manage people, resources and even an entire village in order to make it and survive. The battles, on the other hand are not dynamic – instead you will fight in turns striking the zombies and then waiting for them to strike at you or your team. This, plus the fact, that the village you are in command of requires a lot of micromanagement, makes the game a slow one – in other words it requires a lot of time to achieve something. In addition to this Walking Dead: Road To Survival is a game that is resource-hungry – once you download and install it, the game will take a while before it even loads. Maybe it was our hardware but keep this in mind – chances are you will spend quite a bit of your time waiting on the game to do something.

On the other hand the app comes with a nice comic-like story inside that unveils gradually and that involves you the more time you spend with the game. You are given the freedom to select the members of your team, arm them, and then use them to defeat enemies. Speaking of this the main goal of the game is to defeat your arch-enemy, called The Governor, who is a tyrannical ruler. Be careful – each decision you make will have long-term consequences that are not easily seen at first.

All in all we are left with mixed feelings here. The game does come with nice 3D graphics for the most part and nice sound, so you can easily see the effort put inside the game, not to mention the story, but the app has some serious downsides – it requires a lot of hardware power, it needs a lot of time spent playing and it is a slow game that comes with tons of micromanagement. So if you are looking for a quick action game, then Walking Dead: Road To Survival is not for you; if you want some action then maybe you should look at this one.

Walking Dead: Road To Survival is here on Google Play.
