ASUS U6V-B1-Bamboo Available for Pre-Order

assus-bambooAmazon is now taking pre-orders for the ASUS U6V-B1-Bamboo, a 12.1-inch ultraportable laptop that has “artisan-grade” Moso bamboo panel cover and palm rest.

In addition, the notebook’s touch pad features bamboo fiber patterns that create the sensation of touching live bamboo.

Along with the stylish chassis, the ASUS U6V-B1-Bamboo sports the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor at 2.53GHz, Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS 256MB graphics, and a 320GB hard drive. The 1280×800 widescreen display uses LED backlight. A product image at Amazon shows that the ultraportable includes a built-in optical drive.


The laptop runs Windows Vista Business operating system and is priced at $1,999.
