OCZ intros Vertex 3 and Vertex 3 Pro SATA SSDs

OCZ Vertex3 SSDOCZ Technology Group has unveiled its next generation Vertex 3 SATA III SSD product lineup which are equipped with SandForce SF-2000 series controllers and promise to double the performance of the previous generation.

The Vertex 3 comes in a 2.5-inch form factor, feature SandForce SF-2200 SSD processor, multi-level cell NAND Flash memory, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, deliver read and write speeds of up to 550 MB/s and 500 MB/s,  and up to 60,000 IOPS (4k random write). It will available in capacities of 120GB and 240GB.

OCZ Vertex3 SSDThe enterprise-class Vertex 3 Pro packs a SF-2500 SSD SATA III processor and will come in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities. The entire Vertex 3 line features TRIM support and  are backed by  3 year warranty, they will be  showcased at next week’s international CeBIT tradeshow in Hanover.
