SanDisk Corporation has released its consumer oriented 2.5-inch Ultra series solid state drives which offer a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and deliver data-transfer speeds of up to 280MB/sec read and 270 MB/sec write speeds.
The Ultra SSD is engineered to withstand shocks and vibration and feature Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)2 of up to 1,000,000 hours. It is available in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities carrying MSRPs of $129.99, $219.99 and $449.99, respectively.
