Microsoft outs new Surface Pro 3 model

The weekend is usually the laziest time of the week but if you think that nothing happens in these two blissful days you will be wrong. Here’s an example – Microsoft has introduced a new Surface 3 Pro model exactly during this past weekend!

The new Surface 3 Pro comes with nice specs but clearly favors performance over storage. The device comes with the high-end Intel Core i7-4650U processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage, which is a bit on the low side, given that other Surface 3 Pro versions offer 256 GB of storage or more. Still, the difference in the SSD is reflected in the price – the new version costs USD 1299, which makes it the most affordable Surface 3 Pro model to buy. It will have competition in the form of another Surface 3 Pro model that includes an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and sells for the same price, but like we said the newcomer favors CPU performance over storage. In addition the new Core i7 model has Intel HD 5000 graphics with 40 execution units, while the Core i5 has Intel HD 4400 graphics with 20 execution units – that is, if you are into light gaming.

The new Surface 3 Pro model should be on the market as we speak so if you are interested just check for it with your local Microsoft dealer.
