One Terabyte Spinpoint MT2 2.5″ Internal Mobile Hard Drive by Samsung

Samsung 1TB Spinpoint MT2The world leader in digital consumer electronics and information technology, Samsung, announced that its one terabyte Spinpoint MT2 two and a half inch internal mobile hard disk drive has started shipping now.

The 2.5 inch Spinpoint MT2 Internal Mobile Hard Drive by Samsung is the perfect portable storage solution, offering up to one terabyte of storage which can be used for several digital photos, music, video and work-related files. It runs at 5400rpm speed and has a 12.5 millimeter form factor, utilizing the proprietary SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies of Samsung, in order to reduce the noise levels during operation.

“The new Spinpoint MT2 drive offers the largest capacity in what has previously been offered as an option for portable digital devices,” said I.C. Park vice president, storage marketing, Samsung Electronics. “As the total storage solution provider, Samsung is committed to offering products that features exceptional performance and value across a wide range of computing and consumer electronics markets.”

The new 2.5 inch MT2 mobile hard drive by Samsung also has about twenty percent enhanced read and write performance, with a four percent lower power consumption, compared to other drives on the market. It also features 400G (2ms) shock resistance levels while operating and also 800G (1ms) when it is turned off. The mobile hard drive also complies with the Directive of the European Union on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electronic equipment.

The 1TB 2.5-inch Spinpoint MT2 Internal Mobile Hard Drive by Samsung comes with the SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and 8MB buffer memory. It is now available in 1TB and also 750GB.
