Artic launches MC001 multimedia PC

Arctic Cooling has lunched a compact multimedia computer for “all your entertainment needs at home.” Codenamed MC001, this entertainment center will allows you to self-configure the memory, storage and operating system according to your needs.

The  MC001 is designed in a 1.5L aluminum chassis with a thickness of merely 4 cm, it is completely passively cooled, to enable silent operation, measures 205 L x 130 W x 329 H mm and weight start at 2.35kg. This multimedia PC is powered by dual core Intel Atom D525 (1.8GHz), backed by 4 GB of RAM (max 8GB) and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 with ATI Stream Technology to allows applications like Internet browsers or media players to use also the GPU and to improve the performance. It supports 1080p HD video and includes 7.1-channel surround sound. Other specifications includes Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n, two USB 3.0 and five USB 2.0 ports, optional DVB-T/DVB-C tuner, 4 in 1 card reader, IR receiver VGA, HDMI and SPDIF port/optical out.

Arctic Cooling propose four different variants of the MC001, depending on storage options -MC001-BD model with 500 GB HDD and Blu-Ray 4, MC001-DVDS with 120GB SSD, DVD-RW 24x, MC001-DVD with 500GB HDD, DVD-RW 24x and MC001-E, all pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and prices starting from $308.79.
