Gigabyte presents budget-oriented Hercules X power supply units

Gigabyte Technology has presented a new line of budget-oriented power supply units (PSU) for office and home computers – the Hercules X.

The new line offers PSU models with nominal power that ranges between 330W and 580W, full compliance with the ATX12V 2.3 standard, protection against overloading, overvoltage, undervoltage and surges, an internal 120 mm intelligent cooling fan with automatic speed regulation, dual 12V rails for stable and reliable performance and support for any AMD or NVIDIA graphics card. Finally the Hercules X line comes with elongated cables for proper cable routing and better thermal efficiency and very low power consumption when turned off – just 1 watt.

The official release date and the pricing are still unknown.
