be quiet! presents Pure Rock CPU cooler

be quiet! is a German maker of various CPU coolers, power supply units and case fans that has become quite popular among certain users with high quality and efficiency, at least when it comes to its processor coolers. The only problem so far has been price as the company’s products tend to be quite expensive.

Now users will be able to enjoy be quiet! technology at a lower price thanks to a new CPU cooler that carries the Pure Rock brand name. The Pure Rock CPU cooler is an entry-level solution but it is still a capable cooler. The new be quiet! product measures 120 x 120 x 25 mm and comes with a tower-based design that has 46 thin aluminum fins that cool four 8-mm copper heat pipes. The cooling fan used deserves some attention as it both pushes a lot of air while making little noise. It spins at 1500 rpm pushing 62 cubic feet of air per minute while making just 19.2 dBA of noise. In addition to that the life expectancy of the cooler reaches 80 000 hours, which is truly impressive.

The be quiet! Pure Rock supports all modern AMD AM3+ and FM2+ processors as well as all Intel LGA 2011 and LGA 115x processors. The cooler is expected to sell for around USD 50.
