The Japanese company Scythe, which has not made any headlines in a while, plans to be back with the new Kabuto 3 CPU cooler. Unlike the earlier versions of the same cooler, the Kabuto 3 will feature an entirely new design.
The main idea behind the cooler has not changed and thus the Kabuto 3 is a large cooler with a radiator that sits horizontally and that gets cooled by a large 120 mm fan, which spins at 300 – 1400 rpm and pushes up to 66.7 cubic feet of air per minute. The noise level, however, does not go above 26.1 dB. The Kabuto measures 130 x 125 x 149 mm and weighs 720 grams. Potential customers can expect compatibility with all Intel and AMD processors from the last decade.
The Kabuto 3 will sell for around USD 45.
