Sophistication To Go: The VAIO TT-Series

Sony Vaio TT-SeriesVAIO has designed a very special notebook with particular appeal to executives who appreciate the importance of sophistication and style. The VAIO TT combines a sculpted and refined look with carbon fibre construction which yields strength without the weight penalty. Inside the appealingly slim case the latest high-speed communications technology utilises 3G mobile phone networks to deliver broadband performance on the move. A true widescreen display provides both a generous workspace and the 16:9 aspect ratio that you need to see movies at their best. With battery life up to 9 hours and a carrying weight of approximately 1.3kg, this is indeed the perfect travelling companion.

“As well as a technically advanced ultra-portable of the highest quality, we wanted to create a notebook that was the embodiment of understated style,” said Hidetoshi Takigawa, Marketing Director for VAIO Of Europe. “The emphasis is on nuance and subtlety, which of course is very difficult to get just right. I have to say that it is a credit to our designers that they have succeeded completely, and the VAIO TT-Series is an eloquent testament to that achievement.”

To provide supreme mobility, the TT-Series combines an array of key features that set it apart from the crowd. Physically compact and measuring just 23.5mm thick at its slimmest point, it is eminently portable but also equipped to keep you completely in touch with your business. VAIO Everywair WWAN technology supports the latest high-speed standards and is capable of up to 7.2Mbps download/2Mbps upload speeds using the 3G mobile phone network. This extremely fast combination of HSDPA/HSUPA (High Speed Download/Upload Addressing) makes the TT-Series one of the most capable WWAN-equipped notebooks available. With this level of mobile broadband at your fingertips, your desk goes wherever you do.

The screen has an 11.1-inch diagonal but offers high resolution (1366 x 768) and true widescreen 16:9 format for enjoying movies. The toughened surface is durable and scratch-resistant, but the visible benefits of X-black LCD enhancement are all there: high contrast for depth and realism and vibrant, saturated colour. LED technology is used for the backlight array, delivering exceptional spectrum purity and 100 per cent colour fidelity for superbly lifelike colour.

An Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor SU9300 delivers performance and superb battery economy, while an ambient light sensor is used to vary the screen illumination dynamically for optimum viewing comfort with minimal power consumption. Intelligent battery management technology featuring special Quick Charge and Battery Care functions enables super-fast charging and ensures conditioning for the best battery life over time.

Data security on the road is paramount, and the VAIO TT-Series provides an interlocking set of safeguards ensuring complete peace of mind. Physical data protection is provided by VAIO Hard Disk Protection which detects sudden movement and parks the drive heads almost instantaneously. Fingerprint biometrics act as the gatekeeper to the system, while TrustedTM Platform Module (TPM) hardware encrypts data and passwords preventing any unauthorised access.
