Nokia presents ultra cheap phone

People always like to talk about the latest and greatest in mobile communications, which often means the newest and most powerful smartphone. Unfortunately for many of us such a device is too expensive to own and in most cases we end up with a cheaper device. But how cheap can you go – quite a bit as Nokia shows a brand new mobile phone for just EUR 19. That’s what you would call cheap, right?

The new ultra cheap Nokia mobile phone carries the Nokia 130 brand name and comes with all basic functions you will need including a color display, an FM radio and a flash light. The device measures 106 x 45.5 x 13.9 mm (68.6 grams total weight) and has a 1.8-inch display that works at 128 x 160 pixels as well as Bluetooth 3.0 and a SIM card (Mini SIM) slot. There will be two versions – one with support for one SIM card and another with support for two SIM cards. A 1020 mAh battery powers the device and according to Nokia the new phone can remain in standby mode for 36 days or in talk mode for 13 hours before the battery dies.
