Acer presents Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2 smartphones

The Taiwanese hardware maker Acer has presented two new budget-oriented smartphones – the Liquid E1 and the Liquid Z2.

The Liquid E1 smartphone comes with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and a 4.5-inch display at 960 x 540 pixels. The smartphone also has two cameras (5 MP and 0.3 MP), a built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR, a microSD card slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The Liquid Z2 is a budget smartphone too – this one comes with a 1 GHz dual-core chip, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and a 3.5-inch sensor display at 480 x 320 pixels. The smartphone also features a built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR, a 1300 mAh battery and a built-in FM radio. The smartphone will be offered in several versions – with a 3 MP or 5 MP camera and with support for one or two SIM cards. The Liquid Z2 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean just like the Acer E1.

The Acer Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2 smartphones will debut in Europe where the devices will sell for EUR 199-229 and EUR 99-129 respectively.
