ASUS presents the Pegasus 5000 phablet in China

ASUS has enriched its Pegasus line of mobile devices with a new member called Pegasus 5000. The new device happens to be a phablet that packs quite a bit of power.

Presented in China, the Pegasus 5000 comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display that works at Full HD resolution and has a MediaTek MT6753 processor inside with eight 64-bit cores that run at 1.3 GHz. When it comes to memory, the phablet offers two choices – the base model of the Pegasus 5000 comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, while the more advanced version sports 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. In the back users will also find a 13 MP main camera with an accompanying LED flash, while up front there’s a 5 MP front camera. As expected the device has support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and even 4G LTE. In addition there are two SIM card slots and an enormous 4850 mAh battery.

The new ASUS Pegasus will be available from China Telecom. The device will be sold for around USD 198 for the 2 GB RAM version and for around USD 273 for the 3 GB RAM model.
