Huawei debuts Honor 3 smartphone

The Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has officially debuted the Honor 3 smartphone, codenamed HN3-U01. The device sports an IP55 and IP57-certified chassis and measures 133 x 67.2 x 9.9 mm for total weight of 138 grams.

The Honor 3 is based on a Hisilicon K3V2 processor with four cores and has a 4.7-inch IPS display at 720 resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a rear 13.1 MP camera with a BSI sensor and 1080p video recording, a front 1 MP camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB port and a built-in 2230 mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and makes use of Emotion UI 1.6 interface.

In China the Honor 3 sells for USD 308.
