Samsung Gem Android smartphone at Alltel Wireless

Samsung Gem is a midrange smartphone running Android 2. 1 and is now available at Alltel Wireless for free (after a $50 mail-in rebate) and a new two-year service agreement.

Samsung Gem has a 3.2-inch(240 x 400 pixels) TFT touchscreen, scratch resistant display, an 800 MHz processor, 124 MB of internal memory, 3G, Wi-Fi (with hotspot capability), Bluetooth, GPS, a microSD card slot and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It is also allows users to text, picture and video message with the Swype virtual keyboard, coems with  Google mobile services including Google Search and Google Maps with turn-by-turn GPS navigation and  also offers new features and additional applications designed to give Alltel customers a “premium Android experience.”
