A wild rumor has been circulating in some Korean newspapers recently and the rumor is so crazy we cannot but share it here. It turns out that according to some Korean newspapers Samsung will launch its new Galaxy S7 flagship by the end of the current year!
This move is not surprising – if the rumor is true Samsung will launch the S7 earlier so that it can compete with the upcoming iPhone 6s, which is also scheduled to appear later this year. In fact the work on the Galaxy S7 may be entering its late stages if we believe Newsis, a South Korean news source, which claims Samsung has started the work on the Galaxy S7 2-3 month ahead of schedule. If we see the S7 this year this will be the first year when we see two Galaxy S flagships in the same year. Historically the Korean tech company has launched new flagship smartphones in the first half of a certain year but never twice in a single year so far.
Then again keep in mind that all this information is rumors only so take it with a pinch of salt. But if indeed Samsung launches the Galaxy S7 by the end of the year we are all set to see a very interesting new battle between Apple and Samsung and as you know in such battles consumers are the only winners.
