Samsung readies Galaxy Express smartphone

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has prepared a new Galaxy smartphone – the Galaxy Express.

The new member of the Galaxy family is based on a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA multi-touch display that works at 480 x 800 pixels. A dual-core 1.2 GHz processor powers the device, which has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, a rear 5 MP camera, a 1.3 MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a GPS receiver and a 2000 mAh battery.

Pricing is unknown but the Samsung Galaxy express will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
