Samsung releases Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition

Samsung and Marvel have joined forces and have released a new special limited edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, called Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition. The new gadget targets fans of Iron Man and comes with a chassis that features vibrant red and gold Iron Man-themed pictures.

“We are excited to be able to offer our world-class Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone designed especially for Iron Man fans through our continued collaboration with Marvel,” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. “The limited edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge embodies the power of the iconic Avenger with a dual-curved edge design and advanced features that will provide Marvel fans with the ultimate entertainment experience.”

The new themed smartphone comes with a unique serial number and has Iron Man-themed pre-loaded content, a stylish wireless charging adapter and special Clear Cover protection. The device measures 142.1 x 70.1 x 7 mm and weighs 132 grams. Inside it houses Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 eight-core 64-bit processor (four Cortex-A57 cores at 2.1 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5 GHz), Mali-T760 graphics, an edged 5.1-inch sensor Super AMOLED display at Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) featuring Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, a 16 MP rear camera with support for 4K video recording, a 5 MP front camera and a 2600 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop along with the TouchWiz user’s interface.

The new smartphone will be available in Korea on May 27 and next month it will reach Hong Kong and China. There’s no information on how much it costs.
