Samsung to release budget-oriented Galaxy J2 smartphone

After releasing the Galaxy J1 smartphone a few months ago now Samsung is ready to launch a new device in the same line called Galaxy J2 (code name SM-J200).

According to the preliminary specs that we have the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J2 will have a 4.7-inch sensor display at 720p resolution, a quad-core processor at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and support for LTE. The J2 will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop when it becomes available later this year. Compared to its predecessor – the Galaxy J1, the Galaxy J2 is a significant upgrade – the J1 has a dual-core processor at 1.2 GHz and just 512 MB of RAM.

As usual there’s no word on pricing.
