UMI ZERO 2 is a dual-display Android smartphone

The combination China + smartphone results in two things – unknown smartphone makers, at least for us in the Western world, and some really, really interesting devices that usually come at a low price. Here we have another such example – UMI’s ZERO 2 smartphone.

UMI is another Chinese smartphone maker that we haven’t heard of but this does not mean the company does not deserve attention. In fact UMI has a rather interesting smartphone to offer – a dual-display Android handset that is called ZERO 2.

There’s little information on the UMI ZERO 2 but we know that the device will have a “regular” display and a secondary E Ink display on its back, which is perfect for reading e-books, not to mention that it needs little energy. The rest of the specs include a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a MediaTek MT6752 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, an 8 MP front camera and a 13 MP camera in the back. The handset is expected to sell for about USD 500 and run Android Lollipop.
