Vivo presents the X5 Pro smartphone

The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo Electronics Corp. has officially presented the rumored X5 Pro smartphone. The tech specs have not surprised the public – they are the same as previously reported.

Thus the new X5 Pro comes with a metallic chassis like the one seen in the iPhone 6 and a 5.2-inch 2.5D Super AMOLED display that works at Full HD resolution. The handset measures 147.9 x 73.45 x 6.44 mm and includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal flash memory and a microSD expansion slot that takes cards with capacities of up to 128 GB. There’s a 13 MP rear camera as well with F/2.0 lens and sapphire glass on top. The front camera is special as well – it offers 8 MP of resolution and a wide-angle lens with a maximum aperture of F/2.4. The camera is also capable of scanning eyes to ensure authentication and allows users to take photos at up to 32 MP of resolution through interpolation. Furthermore the Vivo X5 Pro comes with special sound hardware – the device sports a Cirrus Logic sound chip and a Maxim Integrated MAX97220 amplifier for excellent sound quality when playing music. Finally you get LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a number of sensors and a 2300 mAh battery. The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 2.1, which is built on Android 5.0.

The price of the Vivo X5 Pro is unknown.
