The Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has officially launched the new high-end Blade S6 Plus smartphone. Don’t look for it at your local smartphone store – the new handset is only available on eBay.

“We are very excited to announce with eBay the global availability of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus,” said Adam Zeng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices. “Following the successful launch of the Blade S6, we are now offering our consumers a larger-screen alternative to a device that combines high-end performance and quality at a very competitive price tag.”

The new Blade S6 Plus is an upgrade to the already launched Blade S6 and comes with a larger 5.5-inch sensor In-Cell display that works at 1280 x 720 pixels. The device also offers support for LTE and two SIM cards, 16 GB of internal memory, a microSD card for expansion, 2 GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with eight processing cores and Adreno 405 graphics, two cameras – one rear at 13 MP and another front at 5 MP, Wi-Fi 802.11n, a GPS receiver and an FM radio and finally a 3000 mAh battery. On top of all this hardware the Blade S6 Plus runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. Just in case you wonder – the new ZTE smartphone measures 156.6 x 77 x 7.7 mm but its weight is unknown.

The new smartphone is now available for USD 299.99 or EUR 276.99, depending on where you live. For a limited time only, however, you will be able to buy the phone with a discount. It now costs USD 269.99 or EUR 252.99.
