HP Veer smartphone unveiled

HP unveils the smallest webOS phone to date, the Veer which 54.5 x 84 x 15.1 mm and weights only 103. The compact smartphone has full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 2.57-inch (320 x 400) multitouch screen. In its heart pulsate a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7230 800-MHz processor and is equipped with 512MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory.

The Veer features  tri-band UMTS and quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, has an accelerometer, a proximity sensor,802.11 b/g/n WiFi(router functionality), Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, a 5 megapixel camera, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, an USB port, and a 5-megapixel camera with geotagging and 3.5 mm stereo headphone port.

Veer offers access to thousands of webOS apps, has browser with support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, and includes HP Synergy which brings together information from multiple sources across the web automatically. The smartphone is scheduled to be available in the early spring. Exact pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
