Motorola Motoactv fitness device

Aside from its bullet-proof Motorola RAZR, Motorola this week also unveiled the MOTOACTV- a multi-activity music and fitness tracking device for the sport enthusiasts.

This tiny wearable device is running on Android, powered by a 600 Mhz processor and has a 1.6-inch color touch-screen display that is sweat-proof, rain-resistant and is fortified with Gorilla Glass. It weighs only 35 grams, but also packs a GPS and can track your exercise routes, distance, speed, heart rate, calories burned, as well can log all of your activities. Then you can upload your statistics wirelessly to MOTOACTV.com for real time stats and tracking both during and after your workout.

It features a “smart music player” that “learns” what tracks motivate you most and create playlists appropriate for your training, also offers audio coaching for extra inspiration, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+ wireless connectivity, and can be connected to you Android-powered smartphone.

The Motoactv will be available in 8GB($249) and 16GB($299) versions, first in the US on November 6 and then in Latin America and Europe starting in Q1 2012.
