Nokia C5-03 Symbian^1 touchscreen phone announced

Nokia today launches “an inexpensive” C5-03 Symbian^1 based touchscreen smartphone, which has a 3.2-inch 640 x 360 resistive panel.


Spec-wise Nokia says “simple to use but covers all of the essentials for modern-day phones”.  C5-03 measures 105.8 mm x 51.0 mm x 13.8 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 93g, has quadband GSM/EDGE and triband WCDMA (900/1900/2100), WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, FM radio, a micro USB port, 3.5mm jack, compass and assisted GPS. It comes with up to 40MB of user memory and support for MicroSD cards up to 16GB. The phone has a has a 5-megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom, but no flash. The battery offers up to 11.5 hours talktime, 4.5 hours using 3G and 25 days standby.

It is expected to be launched at the end of the year and to cost €170 before taxes.
