Safari 5 Released by Apple

Safari 5 released by AppleVersion 5 of one of the most fastest and innovative web browser in the world, Safari, was released by Apple today. Safari 5 features the new Safari Reader, thanks to which you can read articles on the web without distraction.

Safari Version 5 by Apple has a thirty percent increase in performance over the previous Safari Version 4. It also offers the ability to choose the search service in the search filed of Safari, from Google, Yahoo! and Bling. Apple’s Safari 5 is available on both Mac and Windows and comes with its developer tools, supporting a few new HTML5 technologies.

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing at Apple, Philip Schiller, said that Safari continues to lead the pack in performance, innovation and standards support. He also stated that Safari now runs on over two-hundred million devices around the world, and its open source WebKit engine runs on over five-hundred million devices.

The Mac version of Safari 5 is powered by the Nitro Javascript Engine, and can run JavaScript thirty percent faster than the previous version of Safari, three percent faster than Chrome 5.0 and fifty+ percent faster than Firefox 3.6.x. Thanks to DNS prefetching, the browser can load and view the webpages of your choice faster than ever before.

Apple’s Safari 5 comes with a dozen of powerful HTML5 features that will allow all web developers to create rich on media experiences. The browser includes full screen playback and closed captions for HTML5 video, and other new HTML5 features like HTML 5 Geolocation, HTML5 sectioning elements, HTML5 draggable attribute, HTML5 forms validation, HTML5 Ruby, HTML5 AJAX History, EventSource and WebSocket. The extension builder in the new version of Apple’s browser will simplify the development, installation and packaging of extensions.
