Olympus adds SZ-11 compact digital camera

Olympus Imaging Corporation today rolls out a new pocket-friendly digital camera, aimed to be your company for travel and sports events.

The new Olympus SZ-11 compact digital camera  is based on 14Megapixel CCD sensor and is equipped with 20x ultra-zoom lens and DUAL IS using a CCD-shift image stabilization mechanism. It is capable of capturing HD (1280 x 720) movies in (MPEG-4 AVC / H.264) via dedicated movie REC button and even 3D photos. On the back there’s a 3-inch, 460K dots LCD display, the camera supports SD/SDHC/SDXD/ and Eye-Fi memory cards, has a HDMI output and USB port with battery charging function. The camera comes with full array of functions such as Beauty Mode, Beauty Make, Pet Mode and an expanded range of 10 Magic Filters.

Olympus SZ-11 is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in August 5, 2011.
