The D-segment may be shrinking but that hasn’t stopped Hyundai from launching the all new sixth generation Elantra.

Now Hyundai claims this is the best Elantra yet and claims at leadership in the segment.

The sixth-generation Hyundai Elantra comes with the latest version of the fluidic design philosophy which is less curvy and flashy. It is more subtle and mature!

The interior quality is good with excellent fit and finish, the dashboard design looks quite classy and elegant, seats are very comfortable and supportive, there is good legroom and needle but Headroom is slightly short for tall passengers, due to the sloping roofline.

Hyundai has put in a lot of features like an 8-inch touchscreen with apple carplay and android auto navigation, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, Automatic defogger, electric sunroof, six airbags, best in class vehicle stability management system, USB charger in the center armrest, boot taxes from the rear seat And sensor-based boot opening from the outside.

Hyundai is offering the Elantra in both petrol and diesel engine options, each of them mated to both 6-speed manual and auto transmission.

Both automatic transmissions get an option of driving in either sports or eco mode.

The new 2.0-litre petrol engine offers peppy performance with a strong mid and top end getting quite vocal near the redline.

The diesel engine is the same as before and has linear performance but it isn’t like the petrol.

NVH levels are excellent.

Hyundai has vastly improved the Elantra when it comes to driving dynamics.

The sixth-generation Atlanta feels much better when it comes to ride and handling. However, it’s still isn’t close to the bench mark set by its German rivals.

Hyundai has improved the ride quality by leaps and bounds.

The vehicle feels well cushioned even on very bad roads.

Both slow and high speed ride is excellent.

Breaks perform well and stop the car without any drama.

The new generation Elantra has taken everything a step above the previous generation model.

It looks good, offers comfortable and spacious interiors with tons of features.
