It’s not hard to guess what Dustoff Heli Rescue is all about – the game takes you to a virtual military airfield where you will have to save soldiers in trouble with your helicopter.
We’ll start this mini-review with the installation process – after all you cannot review an app if you don’t have it installed. As always Dustoff Heli Rescue is a free Android game so you won’t have to spend money on it but here the good news ends. The problem with this game is that it is relatively large and at 80 MB in size it may take some time before it downloads and then it takes a while to load a level. The actual installation process is problem-free and then you are ready to fire up the game. A simple game menu will greet you and then you are good to go. After a short tutorial where you will learn how to play the game, you are in for some action. And this is the place where you will be really surprised – the game graphics is all made of cubes. It’s as if you are in a Minecraft world or in a 1990s game with outdated graphics. The gameplay is simple – you have to fly inside some limited space (you can see the whole “world” with ease) and save soldiers from places that are easy to spot due to smoke that they emit. Take the soldiers and then fly them back to your military base – this is what the gameplay is all about. It may seem that the game is boring but in fact it is not – the real fun is in the way you handle and fly the chopper since the real challenge lies there. Once you complete a mission you get a new one with the main mission being to complete it as quickly as possible in order to get golden stars. And finally, once you get enough experience you can equip your helicopter with weapons for future more dangerous missions.
Dustoff Heli Rescue is a fun game – it does not have the best graphics we have seen but it is dynamic, challenging and fast-paced so it will appeal to action game fans. The best part is that the app is free and it does not come with major shortcomings so we can easily recommend Dustoff Heli Rescue to you!
