Corsair adds 180GB and 240GB models to its Force GT series solid state drives

Corsair today extends its Force GT family of SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drives with two new models, with 180GB and 240GB capacities.

Powered by SandForce SF-2280 SSD controller and ONFI synchronous flash memory, these 2.5-inch solid state drives are capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 555 MB/s and 525 MB/s, with performance of up to 85K Random Write IOPS and MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. The drives offers TRIM support and come bundled with 3.5” adapter for use in both laptop and desktop PCs. The 180GB model will cost you $379, while the 240GB can be yours for $489.
