Lenovo debuts ThinkPad S440 notebook

The Chinese maker of notebooks and ultrabooks Lenovo has debuted the 14-inch ThinkPad S440 notebook. The device boasts a light and thin chassis and bets on a sensor display that works at 1600 x 900 pixels and offers viewing angles of 180 degrees.

Inside the Lenovo Thinkpad S440 is based on Intel Core i5 and i7 processors on the Haswell architecture and offers up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory, a 500 GB hard drive or a 256 GB SSD, an AMD Radeon HD 8670M graphics card, a card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, USB 3.0 and a battery that can power the device for up to 6 hours. The notebook also has a backlit LED keyboard, Dolby Theater technology and Lenovo Rapid Charge technology that allows the user to charge the battery to up to 80 per cent for just 45 minutes.

The Lenovo S440 runs Windows 8 64-bit. The pricing is unknown.
