MSI outs WS60 mobile workstation line with Skylake processors

The Taiwanese MSI has presented a line of mobile workstations known as WS60. The new computers are designed for people on the go and offer the latest Intel Core i7 and Xeon processors on the Skylake microarchitecture.

The notebook line is designed for portability and this is the reason why it comes with a 15.6-inch display that is driven by an NVIDIA Quadro M-Series GPU. The machines support up to 32 GB of DDR4-2133 memory and offer various exclusive technologies such as Super RAID 4 for extreme data transfer speeds of over 3300 MB/sec, PCI-E Gen3 x4 M.2 SSD support for read speeds that reach 2200 MB/sec, an advanced cooling system, a USB Type-C port, 2.1 speakers by the Danish audio company DYNAUDIO and more. Despite all this hardware under the hood the MSI WS60 mobile workstations are housed in chassis that are just 19.9 mm thick and that weigh 1.95 kilograms. The notebooks differ in the graphics department only where one can get a WS60 model with NVIDIA Quadro M2000M, M1000M or M600M graphics cards inside, depending on what they want.

The new MSI WS60 workstations have been certified by Autodesk, Solidworks, PTC and more and run Windows 10 Pro. No word on pricing.
