The manufacturer of various cooling solutions GELID has released its latest creation, the so-called SnowStorm CPU cooler. As with everything new, the SnowStorm comes with a number of tech improvements and interesting technologies.
The SnowStorm is based on 3 heat pipes and a 92 mm cooling fan with PWM functions. The heat sink of the SnowStorm features a unique fin architecture that distributes air flow equally into the heat sink. This, along with the three heat pipes that directly touch the processor, results in much improved cooling performance. The compact cooling fan and the used metal back plate make the whole product safe and light. In addition to that the intelligent PWM function of the cooling fan ensures smooth and silent operation and low CPU temperatures as well as the ability to accelerate the fan when the CPU gets hotter.
The GELID SnowStorm conforms to all RoHS and WEEE requirements and comes with a 5-year warranty. The device is versatile as it can be used with all Intel LGA 775, 1150, 1155, 1156 and 1366 processors as well as with all AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+ and newer chips.
