MSI outs the Z170A SLI Plus motherboard

MSI has offered one more Skylake motherboard to PC users and gamers around the world and this time the mobo is called Z170A SLI Plus. Judging from the product name the board is based on Intel’s high-end Z170 chipset and offers SLI for extreme graphics performance. Isn’t it nice to be able to figure out the tech specs of a device just from the name?

The new MSI Z170A SLI Plus motherboard is based on the award-winning design of the MSI X99A SLI Plus motherboard and aims to offer everything a hardcore gamer would need. The board features Military Class 4 components, supported by Guard-Pro, to ensure the highest possible standard in reliability and stability and sports support for DDR4 memory, NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire. The board also makes use of USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C ports and offers an integrated Realtek ALC1150 audio chip that is paired with the Audio Boost technology for improved sound quality. An interesting fact is that the MSI Z170A SLI Plus has reinforced PCI-E slots that are four times stronger than regular ones to make sure users will not have problems with extra heavy graphics cards.

Unfortunately MSI has not yet provided a complete list of features but we are sure that the MSI Z170A SLI Plus has support for all current Intel Core Skylake processors, Windows 10 and other storage technologies such as M.2, SATA Express and Turbo U.2. The board is all-black as well, which gives it a distinct look.

The MSI Z170A SLI Plus motherboard should be on the market any time soon. Given there isn’t a complete specs list it is not surprising that the price is also missing.
