Acer debuts Iconia W3 tablet

The Finnish web site of the Taiwanese hardware company Acer has first leaked information on the upcoming new Iconia W3 tablet. The device will be based on the Intel Clover Trail platform and will include a dual core Intel Atom Z2760 processor at 1.5 GHz, an integrated Intel GMA 3650 video and hardware 1080p acceleration.

On the outside the Iconia W3 comes with an 8.1-inch display at 1280 x 800 pixels. It has 2 GB of RAM, a 32 GB or 64 GB SSD, a microSD card slot, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, two 2 MP cameras (front and rear), microHDMI, microUSB 2.0 and one USB 2.0 port. Optionally users can also get a full-sized keyboard stand and a cover that can also serve as support.

The Acer Iconia W3 will run Windows 8 Pro when it comes to market. Pricing and the release date are still unknown.
