Huawei Mate 8 leaked ahead of schedule

The upcoming Huawei Mate 8 is a smartphone that you should keep an eye on – the device is expected to come with a stylish metallic chassis, powerful hardware and nice tech specs and of course a high price but it can’t be any other way.

The hype around the device has led to another leak so we can enjoy the Mate 8 ahead of its launch. The leak claims the handset will be available in two versions that look the same with the difference being in the amount of RAM and the display resolution. The first model will have a 6-inch 1440p display and 3 GB of RAM, while the second model will sport a 6-inch 1080p display and 2 GB of RAM. The other specs will remain the same – a powerful Kirin 950 SoC inside, a 16/8 MP rear/front camera combo, 16 GB or 32 GB of internal memory plus up to 128 GB of expandable storage, a 4100 mAh battery and of course software, running all this, which will be Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The first tests of the device show that the Huawei Mate 8 scores near 80K points in the browser test of AnTuTu, which is more that what current generation flagships can offer. This is very promising and the good news is that we will see very soon what the Mate 8 is capable of – the device arrives on November 26. No word on pricing as of now but the Mate 8 will be an expensive smartphone for sure.
