Huawei to present first own 64-bit smartphone processor

There are many smartphone makers around the world but few are as aggressive and persisting as Chinese makers. Willing to become a factor on the world smartphone market makers like Huawei present more and more interesting smartphone models. Tomorrow will also be a big day for such Chinese companies – Huawei will present its first in-house 64-bit processor.

The successful debut of the chip will make Huawei one of the few companies that design and make their own chips for smartphones. Thus Huawei will join companies like Apple, Samsung and until recently LG. There is no information on the new chip except for a teaser image in Chinese that shows two walnuts, the digits 6 and 4 and then Chinese hieroglyphs that mean “speed” and “core”.

We’ll have more information on the new chip soon. In addition to that Huawei may try to attract even more attention to its brand and products by launching smartphones with the new chip by the end of the year. We’ll find out soon.
