LG unveils new Cookie phone

LG Electronics, today officially announced the LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290), a new addition to its successful Cookie phones series, sold over 13 million units until now.

The LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) offers features similar to the original Cookie, a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, cartoon-styled UI with customizable color themes, social networking integration, MP3 player, FM tuner/recorder,  a 3.5mm headset jack, 2 megapixel camera and is available in 16 colors.

“LG Cookie Series reflects our effort to bring creativity and fun to the mobile touchphone experience,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG Cookie Plus and LG Cookie Fresh offer various features to suit different tastes while maintaining the core features of the original LG Cookie phone.”

LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) will be available in over 60 countries following its introduction in Germany and Russia. Prices will be announced separately in each market.
