Eizo introduces new 17-inch professional monitor


Japanese PC display maker Eizo has announced a new 5:4 17-inch professional monitor that will be known as FlexScan S1703.

The novelty uses a LED-backlit LCD panel that offers great power efficiency, drawing no more than 9 watts of power during typical usage. Being a 5:4 monitor the FlexScan S1703 offers 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution, 170-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical viewing angle range, 250 cd/m2 of brightness, 1000:1 static and dynamic mega-contrast and 5 ms of response time. A huge plus for this monitor is that it offers DVI connectors with HDCP compliance in addition to the Auto EcoView function, which adjusts brightness to match ambient lighting conditions as well as two 2-watt stereo speakers with headphone jacks.

Weighing 4.4 kg the monitor will debut on November 22.
