ADATA launches two external hard drives

Those of you in need of a new external hard drive can take a look at ADATA, which has just launched two new such devices called HD700 and HV620S. These two models have been designed for all kinds of users and feature data protection and other functions that you will likely need.

The ADATA HD700 is an entry-level durable external hard drive that has been designed for active people who enjoy activities such as hiking, cycling, kayaking and others. The device is IEC IP56-certified and meets all MIL-STD-810G requirements, which means it has protection against water, dust and shock. The HD700 employs multi-layered protection, with a cushioned interior, hardened plastic enclosure, and a removable shock-canceling silicone cover. The hard drive offers two capacities of 1 TB and 2 TB and uses a USB 3.0 connection.

The HV620S model is an update to the already existing HV620 external hard drive by ADATA. The new drive is much slimmer compared to its predecessor and is just 11.5 mm thick. This makes the drive very light and easy to carry around. The HV620S is not protected against the elements but the chassis of the device is protected against scratches. The device offers 1 TB of capacity and features a USB 3.0 connection.

No word on pricing as of now.
